Here's a truly inspirational story of a young man who had every reason to quit.  He didn't.  

I can partially relate to Sgt. Olson.  I lost the sight of my right eye in 1966.  The doctors told me I would never fly again. I retired as a Boeing 747 Captain.  Never believe the naysayers.  They're usually wrong.  Never quit.
